Law School Commencement

The Law School has traditionally held its Commencement exercises in the Fall (for August and December graduates) and in the Spring (for May graduates). At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Law School held virtual celebrations for graduates before we were able to return to in-person exercises in Fall 2021.
The University of Illinois Chicago continues to monitor changes in the global pandemic to ensure our Commencement events align with the latest health and safety guidelines, but we are hopefully future events will remain on campus. Be assured, no matter the format, the Law School team is committed to celebrating all of your accomplishments.

Order Your Cap, Gown, and Accessories Online Heading link
Each graduating student attending commencement must purchase his/her cap and gown online through Jostens. You may also purchase commencement announcements, college rings, diploma frames, and licensed college jewelry from Jostens. Deadlines related to purchasing regalia through Jostens will be communicated by email to graduating students, along with other Commencement details, as they are available.

For traditional Commencement exercises on the UIC campus, tickets have not been required for graduates or their families.
Photography Heading link
The University arranges for professional photographers at graduation. These photographs will be made available to graduates at a later date.
