Academic Achievement personnel provide assistance to students in filing their various applications for the Bar Exam.

3Ls generally file their application to take the Bar Exam in their desired state of practice in the final semester of law school. The Illinois Bar Exam Application consists of the Character and Fitness Questionnaire, the Illinois State Police Criminal History Form, the Authorization and Release Form, the Certificate of Dean of Law School (provided by the law school), and payment of the application fee.

Qualifications for Admission to the Bar Heading link

In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
