Private Sector

Legal opportunities are typically found in three major types of settings — the private sector (e.g., law firms and companies), public sector, or the government sector. Law firms vary in size, practice areas and types of clients. The size of the firm often determines its hiring practices and hiring needs. It is important for those students who are seeking a law firm experience to do their research and proactively seek out information on the firms in which they are interested.
