At UIC Law, we are dedicated to teaching students the art and practice of advocacy. Through our nationally ranked and recognized Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution (TADR) Program, students master skills they need to represent a client from their first meeting, through a negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
Our program is designed to immerse students in all aspects TADR, and is among the leading and most comprehensive programs in the nation. We offer students a wide array of advocacy courses taught by skillful faculty, opportunities to compete on trial and dispute resolution teams, the chance to serve as leaders on our honors board, and focus on TADR as a concentration.

Along with traditional Trial Advocacy courses, we offer a wide array of specialty advocacy courses. Our Trial Lawyer Advocacy and Evidence course is team-taught and combines traditional Evidence and Trial Advocacy courses. Through this combination of evidence and trial practice, students develop the theory of a case while also identifying and considering evidentiary challenges and implications. Other courses include:
