Each fall currently enrolled students at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University compete for an opportunity to study at UIC John Marshall Law School. This highly competitive scholarship award requires a written application, essay and may include an oral interview. Oral and written proficiency in English is required.
Study Information
Professor Michael Seng serves as an academic advisor throughout the fall semester. The selected student will meet with Professor Seng prior to registering for classes and throughout the semester as needed.
Dates & Details
Fall Semester commences the third week of August and concludes the third week of December.
Students are responsible for making their own transportation arrangements and obtaining a passport and required visa. In the past students have arrived in Chicago early to mid-August in order to get acclimated prior to the start of classes. Many students are housed by host families that are friends of the law school. Each month the student receives a stipend to help defray food and other living expenses.

Students from Metropolitan University Prague may choose to study at John Marshall in either the spring or fall semester. Professor Michael Seng is the academic advisor.
