Philip Johnson has served as Instructional & Student Services Librarian since 2013. Johnson has taught Advanced Legal Research, frequently guest lectures in the Lawyering Skills program, and has also lectured in administrative, tax, and bankruptcy law. He is active in the Chicago Association of Law Libraries, where he currently serves as Vice President/President-Elect, and the American Association of Law Libraries. Johnson previously served as Executive Director of Scribes—the American Society of Legal Writers from 2017 to 2023. Johnson holds a B.A. with high honors in English, J.D., and M.S.I.S. from the University of Texas at Austin.
