About
Dan Amato joined the UIC Law team in Fall 2023. Prior to joining UIC, he built a career in higher education and student affairs, with experience spanning housing, student support, and student success initiatives. Dan earned his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University before completing a master’s degree in College Student Affairs at Eastern Illinois University.
Over the past decade, Dan has served students at several Chicagoland institutions, including Northwestern University, National Louis University, and DePaul University, before joining University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. He is passionate about supporting students both inside and outside the classroom and is committed to removing barriers that may impact student success.
Outside of the Law School, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his two children at dance competitions and sporting events.
