Nino was Human Rights Fellow and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School (2017-2020), where she taught human rights law and supervised work on pressing human rights issues globally in partnership with international, regional and national human rights organizations. After law school, Nino served as Senior Researcher on the bi-partisan Task Force on Detainee Treatment convened by The Constitution Project in Washington D.C., conducting legal and investigative research on U.S. policy and practice relating to detainees from the war on terrorism. Nino also worked for the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia on the prosecution of former President Radovan Karadžić and for the OTP of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
Nino Guruli is a graduate of University of Cambridge (PhD), Notre Dame Law School (J.D.), and Mount Holyoke College (B.A. Political Science).
