A Letter to the Editor written by Associate Dean of Experiential Education Kim Ricardo was published in the Chicago Sun-Times titled, “What happens if feds move to restrict mifepristone?” This is a product of her Society of Family Planning grant. Read an excerpt below:
“As researchers studying abortion after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling, we are alarmed by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s promise to implement the president’s national anti-abortion policies. As health and human services secretary, Kennedy will oversee the Food and Drug Administration, the agency with regulatory authority to approve mifepristone. The combined use of mifepristone and misoprostol now accounts for 63% of abortions in the United States.”
