In late 2022, the Illinois Supreme Court approved the Judicial Branch’s 2022-2025 Strategic Agenda. The Agenda was developed by the Illinois Judicial Conference, the body charged with strategically planning for the Judicial Branch. Titled Charting the Course: Innovations and Transformations within the Illinois Judicial Branch, the Agenda provides a blueprint for the future of the Branch over the next three years. To implement the Agenda, the Illinois Judicial Conference has adopted a one-year Operational Plan that identifies ten initiatives to achieve during 2025.
Each initiative is assigned to an existing Supreme Court committee or to an Illinois Judicial Conference task force created to work on the initiative. A vetting process was undertaken by the Illinois Judicial Conference and senior AOIC staff to identify the most qualified individuals to serve on these multi-disciplinary task forces. Professor Davison was selected to serve on the DOC and DHS Collaboration Task Force, which has been assigned Strategic Initiative #9.
The Task Forces were created to ensure a more just, equitable, and practical justice system in the future.
