Join the Career Services Office for a conversation with Amrith Kaur Aakre (UIC Law ’06), Director of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Chicago District, as she shares insights from a distinguished career in public service, civil rights litigation, and government leadership.
In this program, Amrith will discuss her nonlinear career path from over a decade as a Cook County prosecutor, to national civil rights litigation, to senior leadership in the federal government and how law students can build meaningful, impactful careers across government, public interest, and policy roles.
This program is ideal for students interested in government, public interest, civil rights, prosecution, policy work, or leadership roles, as well as those exploring how to align their legal careers with values-driven work.
