UIC Law Launches HELPP for Students and the Community

Led by Dean Amy T. Campbell, the nation’s first Associate Dean for Law & Health Sciences, UIC Law’s new Health Equity, Law & Policy Program (HELPP) is on a mission to tackle the systemic factors that impede health equity in our communities. Through a combination of national, state, and local partnerships with nonprofit organizations and government agencies; multidisciplinary collaborations within the larger University of Illinois Chicago; and academic programs dedicated to preparing students to address current and emerging health law and policy issues, HELPP is working to develop and implement practical legal and health care interventions that benefit Chicago and provide a model for other communities.
