The Rising Attorneys Inclusive Summer Experience (R.A.I.S.E) is a free, exciting, two-day immersive event for undergraduate students at select schools in Illinois who are interested in learning how to use a JD degree to improve yourself, your community, and society.
Immerse Yourself in the Field of Law
- Hear from the UIC Law Community– Gain key insights from panel discussions featuring staff from the offices of Admissions and Fiancial Aid, as well as current students and alumni.
- Participate in a Mock Trial– R.A.I.S.E students undergo mock trial simulations featuring real-life judges where they learn the skills needed to defend cases in court.
- Attend a Mock Class– Sit in on a mock law class designed to provide the practical experience and confidence needed to thrive in the legal field.
- Network and Connect– Whether you are seeking mentorship, advice on law school, or future career opportunities, students can start building their professional network before law school even begins.
Open to All Majors
R.A.I.S.E is suitable for ALL majors! If you are already pre-law, join us to learn more! If you are in any other major – from STEM to art to business, and everything else – you can learn how you can combine your passions with a law degree! Many previous students who had not considered law school have learned about the possibilities that law school offers.
